Our Portfolio: Hardware
Scouts: JOTI 2007
JOTI is a worldwide event held every year internationally by scout groups all over the world. It stands for Jamboree Over The Internet and consists of the scouts utilising computers to talk on IRC to other scouts accross the world. They can find out what type of activities the other scouts do, what things they do in their award scheme etc. Utilising a dial up connection and a server that SpiderWeb Computer Solutions custom engineered, the scouts were able to have a great time.
Scouts: JOTI 2008
Extending on the post above, JOTI 2008 proved to be another awesome event for the Scouts of WA and this year ran approximately 30 compyters in a different hall. Due to the increase of capacity, dial up was no longer an option. A wireless prepaid broadband connection was purchased just before the event and a mobile phone was rigged with software design by SpiderWeb Computer Solutions. This was in turn hooked into the server which provided routing and remote access for all 30 computers with usernames and passwords on Active Directory.
Top Fan Case Mod
This was a case modification done to a clients case. It involved using a dremel (pictured in red on the left photo) to cut the hole in precision within the top of the aluminium case. After this, four hole were drilled in each corner to allow for the fan to sit. The Noctura ultra quiet fan was screwed in (120mm) and was connected. The fan grill which was chosen by the client was then screwed on the top to stop items from falling in. This created a significant difference to the temperature of the CPU and allowed further overclocking due to heat rising.
Various Computer Builds
Clear Case
Alloy Case
Pictured above are different computer setups that have been designed for clients. The first setup with the clear case proved difficult due to the complex nature of the thicker type of case required of an acrylic nature. A speed controller for the fans and neons were also included. The second set included some pricey components such as a 8800GTS (bear in mind this computer was built in '07.

Our Portfolio: Database and Custom Scripts
Welcome to our portfolio of database and custom script development (PHP, MySQL, C++ etc).
Mission Impossible
For Mission Impossible, this database was created from scratch to be a complete registration system for competitors and staff members. This was different to other database developments as it had to have a frontend (An end where users can register) and a backend (where administration can view and edit registrations and perform many more tasks). The system integreated competitors, staff, check in and check out, teams, bases, scoring, payments, statistics, searching facilities and reports all into one area. This was designed in PHP/MySQL.
V4V
For the V4V Administration and Committee to have a simplified role, a database backend system was implemented by SpiderWeb Computer Solutions so that attendees registration forms could be entered onto the database, deleted, changed and several statistics and final tabled forms generated all through the custom scripting. This allowed collaboration with more than one person on the committee as it was hosted on a web server with an easy access URL. Each authorised admin had their own username/passsword to access the system.
